Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhikesh Yadav's decision to boycott the prestigious Harvard event followed a call that was made from Boston to his father and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Congress, the main Opposition party in the BJP-ruled state, had left the Khajuraho seat for SP as per the seat-sharing arrangement within the INDIA bloc.
Reacting to his father and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav's unhappiness with the working of his five-month old government, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav said in Lucknow on Wednesday, "My father has all the right to criticise me."
While refraining from naming any one of them, he said, "I will disclose their names once the investigation is complete," he said.
